Welcome Bernard!
Surely everyone knows Bernard by now, he’s been at The Black Horse for a while now, but in the wake of Alex leaving us to go to our sister pub, The Swan, Bernard is taking the helm of The Black Horse. We thought it was about time we got to know him that little bit better!
What was your first job?
I was keen to get some pocket money in from an early age so my first job was a paper round, nice and local, deliveirng the MK Citizen.
Apart from this job obviously, what would your dream job be?
My ideal job would be running a beach bar on a tropical island, then I would be living the high life! ????
What is about Peach Pubs that drew you to us?
Whenever I would walk into a Peach Pub I would feel very welcome, they’re great pubs with good food and an uncompromising atmosphere.
How many twitter followers do you have?
I’m not much of a tweeter, I only have 20 🙁 never use it!
How do you like your eggs in the morning?
A lot of people may think I’m a bit strange, but I like a double egg. Scrambled, with an extra runny fried egg on the top!
What alcoholic beverage represents you most?
Peach island iced tea! Cause it’s god damn banging!
What inspires you?
I try to find inspiration in everything, everyday!
If you were to describe yourself in 3 words, what would they be?
Enthusiastic ,Happy and down to earth
If you could have one super power what would it be?
To fly. Then I wouldn’t need a car, I could just flit around in the sky.
If you were to name four people you would invite to a dinner party, who would they be?
Miriam Margolyes, Roald Dahl, Prince and Usain Bolt
If you could be any animal what would you be?
I would be a bee. I could just buzz around blissfully, pop into a few flowers for some nectar and then buzz home. Not much unlike me now except the flowers are pubs.
